GPS Session (BMA Members Only)

Date:  February 10, 2018

Time: Two sessions, see below

Location: Marlborough Hall at Pierces Corner. near North Gower 

Cost: Seminar free to members. $5 donation requested to cover cost of refreshments. 

The seminar will be presented by Lee Martin, the CEO of Rally Connex, who has over 28 years off-road riding and racing experience having most recently completed the 2016 Red Bull Romaniacs Extreme Hard Enduro. Lee has been providing GPS seminars for the past 4 years, notably for the Ontario Dual Sport Club, Twisted Throttle and Dual Sport Plus. Registration: Required. Please read the following carefully

The seminar is based on Garmin products (theory is applicable to all brands) and will include the topics below.   

  • GPS operation basics.
  • GPS navigation
  • GPS mounts
  • Garmin Basecamp
  • Routes and tracks 
  • Multiple scenarios where tracks, routes and maps will be discussed 

You are encouraged to bring your own GPS to practice with to get the most out of the session.  Lee will bring 10-12 units for those who do not have their own.

Based on demand the BMA will host up to two - 3 hour seminars of 30 persons each.  Participants will be advised of which seminar, morning or afternoon, they will attend. 

As we expect this seminar to be quite popular vacancies will be allocated on a priority basis to those members wishing to volunteer as guides at our guided club rides.  However, everyone with an interest is encouraged to register.
