Course Summary: This course will equip riders with the knowledge and skills to deal with
common mechanical failures that can occur during an average trail ride. Led by BMA veteran
riders, the course will include classroom instruction with practical demonstrations familiarizing
participants with the required tools and processes to get their bike running and back home.
Registration: As there are a limited number of vacancies (20), prior registration is required.
The seminar will include practical demonstrations on how to respond to trailside mechanical
Agenda topics include:
- Motorcycle Anatomy
- Preventative Maintenance
- Diagnostics - combustion, electrical etc.
- Trailside Mechanics - Flats, Submerged Engines, Electrical
- Towing Out Safely
This course will include practical hands-on demonstrations requiring active participation.
Attending members should dress appropriately. Get ready to get your hands dirty.
This seminar is designed for novice riders and those returning to the sport after a long absence
– intermediates and experts need not apply. You are encouraged to register early.
