Please indicate you are available to volunteer when you register. Leads MUST have a strong knowledge of the south side trails. Sweeps need to be intermediate\, or advanced riders. \nCOST: Free for BMA members and only open to BMA members. A $20 donation to Ride for Dad is highly encouraged. \nTo make your donation and obtain a tax receipt\, please use this Ride For Dad donation page and keep your email receipt to show at registration.  Alternately\, you can make your donation at registration in cash (tax receipt not provided). Please give freely. \nLUNCH: Not provided. \nSUMMARY: \nCome and find your flow on Calabogie’s South Side and help out a great cause! The BMA Ride for Dad Trail Ride is an annual event you don’t want to miss. \nThis is a led ride where each group will have a ride Lead and Sweeper. It is important you self-identify your riding ability. Calabogie can be a challenging riding area\, especially if you find you are on trails beyond your riding capability. Knowing your riding ability is important for your safety and enjoyment. Not sure what level rider you are? Use the guide below to find out. \nEnjoy this led ride from those who know the trails the best and get to know where the trails are that you would like to try. A GPS would be helpful for you to mark trail heads for future riding reference. \nTHE RIDE PLAN: We will divide into groups based on skill level to conduct led rides of Calabogie South. \nParticipants should be mindful of their capabilities and are encouraged to ride within their limits. SUMMARY:Ride for Dad - Dual Sport  - Registration Closed
DESCRIPTION:Be sure to read all information on this site carefully before proceeding.\n \nRegistration: 8:30 am\nRiders Meeting: 9:30 am\nRide goes until: 2:30 – 3:00 pm \n2026 BMA Dual sport and Adventure Bike Ride for Dad. \nCome join us Sunday June 7 th for approximately 150 km of big bike semi aggressive terrain. This route offers great views of lakes and back country that experienced riders and smaller bikes can also enjoy at their own pace. We will be riding mostly off of the pavement but your bike must be plated and street legal. You should be comfortable riding is loose gravel\, dirt rocky terrain. 50/50 tires at least. \nThe ride should take approximately 4-6hrs depending on how many breaks you take. Lunch is not provided so bring a few power bars or grab something at the gas stop. This will be a GPS route intended for groups of 4 or 5 at a time to reduce dust and congestion. We look toward to seeing everyone June 7 th! \nLOCATION: Near the Calabogie Highlands Golf Course (look for the signs for BMA parking). The staging area will be behind the tennis court on Spindle Drift Court \nThis will be a GPS route the leaders of each group should have basic knowledge and own a gps unit or can use a phone app GAIA or similar. \nWe will need 4 volunteers (Experienced Riders please) for this event to lead and/or sweep. Please indicate you are available to volunteer when you register. Leads MUST have a strong knowledge of the south side trails. Be able to read a gps route.  Sweeps need to be intermediate\, or advanced riders. \nCOST: Free for BMA members and only open to BMA members.
