What's here:

Log crossings and rocks on the trails are small to keep it small wheel and new rider friendly. The turns are quite tight however
Trials riding areas feature open field, big rocks, log piles, and a teeter-totter
Technical help, riding tips and advice, tools & work space for repairs
Water & washroom available. Popsicles for the kids if I remember to hand them out.

More Info:
    Ride Times, Start after 8:30
New Trail Riders, bring any off-road riding gear you can. (boots & helmet are required to ride). I have some donated riding gear to loan out. My CRF150 and CRF230 are also available to share. You can practise on the lawn with pylons before hitting the trees if you like. Don't tear up the lawn
Trials Riders, (the funny looking bikes with no seat), please prearrange someone to keep watch or to ride with you in the rocks
Kids Under 16, you are welcome to come and ride, bring your own supervisor
Everyone, Bring quiet trail-bikes, trials-bikes, or mini-bikes. (Hand-guards recommended). Bring a snack or a lunch. There is absolutely no fee but I can always use help with maintenance. If you insist on leaving some cash I have a donations jar for the MSF, (Doctors without boarders)

I just finished clearing a new segment of trail last night. This is part of an easier, much less twisty, path that will loops around the property. It's meant for larger bikes that don't fit the tight trails to well and it will provide a nice transition from lawn riding to tight trails for new riders. Looks like a nice cross country skiing trail too.
See you all tomorrow,

I see you created a new/beginner trail last fall.

Is it safe to assume it would be appropriate for newer riders?

The easy loop is the next place for beginner riders to try after getting comfortable going around trees or pylons on the lawn. It starts out at the back edge of the lawn and gently curves past the trials riding park. Stop and watch if you like. You then cross a 40 foot long wooden causeway made of old skids with an 24" wide plywood deck. Then, following the main corridor trail down the middle of the property, you're lead to a little clearing, situated about 1/3 of the way around the easy loop, here you can easily turn around and practice going back and forth between the lawn and the clearing, or you can keep going. If you keep going a few hundred feet later, the trail opens up onto an old tractor lane, If you like, this is a great place to practice wheelies or at least get up into 3rd gear for a second before going back into the single track. You are now about 1/2 way around the easy loop. The trail is still wide for a single track and the turns are gentle but increasing in number. All along this trail you will see lots of intersections. These optional trails are marked with colour coded trail tape. You are currently riding on the blue loop. As the blue loop comes to an end you are placed back on the main trail again where you can go right to go around again or left to cross the causeway back to the lawn. There are no steep hills or water crossings or mud holes or deep sand on the easy loop.
