Ontario Off-Road Riding Community Mourns Loss of Blake MacMillan
Memorial Fund established
Ontario's off-road riding community is mourning the loss of Blake MacMillan, who was fatally injured on Sunday, May 1st, while off road motorcycling in the Calabogie Highlands.
Margaux MacMillan has requested donations in lieu of flowers to the Bytown Motorcycle Association (BMA), an off-road organization that Blake loved, and had high hopes for. The BMA is now receiving donations utilizing the form at the bottom of this page. The BMA will take time to consult with Margaux on how fund proceeds can be best utilized to reflect Blake's aspirations for the BMA and its members. These decisions will be posted in due course on this website. Please click here to make a donation.
Blake was an advanced trials and off-road rider who contributed unselfishly to the development of the skills of other riders, including those of his beloved wife, Margaux. Blake most recently led the Novice Skills Camp in Shawville on April 30. As the Bytown Motorcycle Association's Director of Training for the past two years, Blake joined the Board of Directors in January of this year.
Those those that would like to offer condolences and to remember Blake, may drop by a gathering to be held on Saturday May 21 between 5:30 and 8:00 pm at Backdrop, 160 Metcalfe Street, Ottawa.
Snatched away far too soon at 36 years of age, Ontario's riding community offers their deepest sympathy to Margaux, his family and friends.
