Summary: This course will equip riders with the knowledge and skills to deal with
common mechanical failures that can occur during an average trail ride. Led by BMA veteran
riders, the course will include classroom instruction with practical demonstrations familiarizing
participants with the required tools and processes to get their bike running and back home.
The seminar will include practical demonstrations on how to respond to trailside mechanical
failures. Topics will include:
- Motorcycle Anatomy
- Preventative Maintenance
- Diagnostics - combustion, electrical etc.
- Trailside Mechanics - Flats, Submerged Engines, Electrical
- Towing Out Safely
Requirements: As there are a limited number of vacancies (20), registration below is required.
As this course will include practical hands-on demonstrations requiring active participation, attending members should dress appropriately. Get ready to get your hands dirty.
