SUMMARY: This event will be geared towards intermediate riders and is intended for experienced club riders interested in advancing their skills for longer and more challenging rides. While the topics may be familiar, the tests and challenges will be aimed at a more experienced and confident riders and will include Bike Handling Skills, Enduro Riding Techniques, Advanced Obstacles, Challenging Climbs and Descents and Traction
THE RIDE PLAN: Intermediate skills training in small groups. Demonstrations followed by guided practice sessions and coaching will help members learn and improve on intermediate bike handling and riding skills.
Participants should be mindful of their capabilities and are encouraged to ride within their limits. Please consult the BMA skills assessment to gauge your current riding level.
Current level of competency assessment criteria
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bring an open mind and a good dose of humility.
- Ensure your bike is in top condition.
- Bring proper protective equipment.
- Bring plenty of hydration and trail snacks such as energy bars.
- Note the weather for the day and dress appropriately.
