SUMMARY:

Come and find your flow on Calabogie’s South Side and help out a great cause! The BMA Ride for Dad Trail Ride is an annual event you don’t want to miss.

This is a led ride where each group will have a ride Lead and Sweeper. It is important you self-identify your riding ability. Calabogie can be a challenging riding area, especially if you find you are on trails beyond your riding capability. Knowing your riding ability is important for your safety and enjoyment. Not sure what level rider you are? Use the guide below to find out.

Enjoy this led ride from those who know the trails the best and get to know where the trails are that you would like to try. A GPS would be helpful for you to mark trail heads for future riding reference.

THE RIDE PLAN: We will divide into groups based on skill level to conduct led rides of Calabogie South.

Participants should be mindful of their capabilities and are encouraged to ride within their limits. Please consult the BMA skills assessment to gauge your current riding level.

Current level of competency assessment criteria

REQUIREMENTS:

  • On your first ride at Calabogie, select a skill level one level lower than you think you are capable of.
  • Ensure your bike is in top condition.
  • Bring plenty of hydration and trail snacks such as energy bars.
